Joint Venture Fattening
Mangamuka Investment Group Ltd operates a joint venture fattening program.
This allows lifestyle block owners the option of raising cattle in a shared
risk relationship where MIG Ltd supplies the cattle and veterinary care,
while the block owner provides the rotational grazing and water. The cattle
are not taken to finished weight, simple weight gain agreements are reverted
to.
Our fattening program is based on raising 3 month old steers through to
24 month finished weight.
Beef Breeding
Mangamuka Investment Group Ltd operates a Hereford Freisan cross cattle breeding program. All our heifer calves are kept for natural population growth. We purchase additional heifers to maintain a minimum 60% growth rate in herd when required.
All of our cattle movements are recorded with the NAIT system number 580809.
Lease Options
Mangamuka Investment Group Ltd leases various size grazing blocks from 50 acres and up, over fixed terms. We also stock properties in a transitional state (on the market or estate sales).
Weight Gain Agreement
The cattle are weighed both on and off the property. The positive net weight gain will be paid in accordance with a pre-determined contract price and terms.
